Fast Company

In 1979, David Cronenberg directed a movie about professional race car driving. This is that movie.

Billy is a funny car driver at the start of a promising career. Lonny is a popular race car driver who's probably near the end of his promising career. They both work for a motor oil company called Fast Co. They don't seem to be terribly good at winning races. They don't seem to be all that interesting, either, so I don't see much point in watching the rest of the movie.

Compared to this one, movies like Crash and Spider are goddamn masterpieces. It's dull, corny, mainstream, and filled with country music. From the first shot, I was thinking, "Cronenberg directed this piece of shit?" Well, he did.
